Project agreement

Can the employer post the project agreement, or does it have to wait on the freelancer? I can't find where the project agreement can be uploaded. Please advise.

Hello, Betsy.

While you and the Employer can and should work out the details of the Project Agreement together, only the Freelancer can upload the agreement. For more information on drafting and uploading Project Agreements, please visit the Work Room > Agreements section of the Help Center.

Also, the Project Plan portion of the Agreement can be a free form document. While we do provide some sample templates, you can draft the agreement in whatever format works for you and the Employer.

It can be created by the employer, but it's mainly created by the freelancer tailored specifically to the http://job.In it, are the terms of the job, It spells out exactly what the freelancer is going to do, and the timeline in which to get it done, that way, nothing is left for misinturpertation by either party,

If you are retyping something for example, you can include - retpying 20 page report, single spaced, Times new Roman font style, 12 cpi. to be completed using Microsoft Word version 2010. Time of completion, 2 days from delivery of materials..Guru has some examples of project agreements. You can also search online for other samples.

Either party can make changes to the original project agreement no matter who creates the agreement, If so, both parties still have to agree to those changes. and then the new changed agreement becomes the binding one

I'm not 100% sure, but once you are awarded a project, the next step is to accept the awarded project. Then Guru will basically step you through the process. You'll go to a page where it till tell you to upload your agreement. That's assuming you have created one and saved it in your computer. You'll browse for it, upload it, and send it. They just wait until the employer accepts the agreement, Escow is then funded, and then you can start working. Again, I'm not sure of the exact order of the above, but Guru pretty much makes it real easy, easier then other freelancer sites in walking you through and telling you what to do next.

Many of my more recent projects have been continued work with past employers, so I haven't had to go through the process step by step for some time, but as I recall (and as Kathleen said) Guru does take you through the process. The agreement itself however, isn't a typed, formal document, as I recall. Guru provides a template/form that you fill in the details. You may set up milestones according to certain dates or levels of work completed, but it's all laid out in a form that you simply fill in. I agree with Kathleen on the issue of who sets the agreement in motion. The freelancer generally is the one who puts this together and then negotiates with the employer to establish terms that work for both.
