Help With Posting Category

What Category should we post our ad?

All we need is ongoing website maintenance and adding our Facebook comments to our homepage. Here's the categories we picked:

Main Skill: Websites & Ecommerce

Additional Skills: Web Development, Web 2.0 & Social Networks

Is this correct, because the responses we're getting are about designing a new website when we specifically say we have an existing website.

Which category should we place our ad? Thanks

The categories you selected do pertain to the skills you are seeking. I believe you're getting cookie cutter proposals meaning they are submitting a generalized saved reply.

Its surprising to me how many freelancers do not personalize their bids which leads me to believe most do not read the full project scope.

If you do not get any bids for maintenance and they are all for new development, I'd repost the project with a more detailed project description that clearly states they are only bidding on maintenance of the homepage of the site. I'd also ask every bidder to include answers to 3 questions at the top of their proposal. This way you know they read your job posting and you will get more detailed proposals. Just make sure the questions you require answered pertain to the maintenance of the site.
