Partial Payment SafePay Requests versus Total Project Payment with Multiple Releases

I'm the employer. I am going to use SafePay. I have agreed to provide advance payment and then two additional payments based upon milestones. Subsequent to the contractor uploading the Project Agreement he has created a SafePay Request for the entire project amount telling me that I can just release the advance at this time. I would prefer to be presented with three separate SafePay Requests...one for the advance and the other two for the milestone completion. Does http://Guru.com allow for Partial Payment SafePay Requests versus having to pay the entire project amount and then release each milestone payment?

Yes I think so, in the project agreement, you can set up milestones and the amounts to be funded and released as each milestone is completed. How you set up the project agreement should be discussed between you and the freelancer. It seems like there is a problem coming to an agreement about payment and milestones. This needs to be settled before starting your project otherwise, there are going to be problems in the future.
