Safepay amount change

Can you change a safepay amount after it has been entered and approved? The project scope has changed after the programmer began the work and we agreed on a different amount that is less than the original. I don't know how to change it though.

You can't change it from your end. Just ask the freelancer working on the project to refund the amount of overage. All they have to do is enter the amount and it will deduct it from the balance.

The employer can not modify the amount. You have to tell the freelancer to go into the Safepay and make the request or ask them to create an additional Safepay request for the balance. The freelancer has all of the power when it comes to billing.

Maarit is correct. For more information on requesting a refund, please visit the Pay Freelancers > SafePay section of our Help Center.

Thank you!

The question is: How can I raise the SafePay amount after it's been made. A refund is not an answer. We agreed as the project went on that the amount will be nearly double, but I can't seem to make that amount change in the original invoice and I'm not going to release the project until I'm guaranteed the amount. Is making this change possible?

Hi Maarit I am the freelancer and I finally figured it out. Was just going to the invoice page and not the safepay page. Thank you. Donald

Ok, glad you find it. I was just going to ask if you were going to the correct area of billing :)
