Example of a Great Propsal

I have read the article on how to make a good proposal and I have taken all that information in, but it would be extremely beneficial to me if anybody could show me an example of a proposal that awarded them a project. I'm an artist btw. Thank you!

Hi Aaron,

You may find that freelancers as a group are a little hesitant to provide their custom proposals to others. Not to be negative, but we are all competing against each other and as such, have to protect our best interests.

What might help you in your search for your ultimate, custom proposal that showcases your skills and talents, is to approach it methodically. What would an employer like to see?

The first thing should be a brief opening statement. Think of this as a mini letter about what you can do. Tell them something about your skills or background that qualifies you....but don't go on about it at length. BE BRIEF. The employer is interested in the project and how you can fulfill their needs.

You should then provide them with the details of your bid...the total, and be sure to factor in the Guru service fees. They will be deducted, so mention that the fee includes them so there is no confusion, and then move on.

Tell them about the value they can expect. How many edits, rewrites will you provide? How many hours, days, weeks will you require to complete the work. Remember that you have to actually do it in that time, so be honest! Give a base time frame but with a notation....the work can be completed in three days, however edits or changes will require some time flexibility. BE UP FRONT.

You then need to close your proposal with a final statement that has an "I await your decision" feel about it. You could say that you welcome the opportunity to work with them, and would be happy to discuss how you can provide them with unique graphic art that will showcase their company. This statement should be a call to action of sorts that puts the power in their hands.

a suggestion, perhaps the freelancer who posted this could hire you to write one for him?
