I want to search for jobs in another category also, do I need to create a new profile (I know that Guru.com allows this)or can I do so by "Add Profile" button? Please advise. Thanks.

I have my basic category in Admin jobs. Now for example I want to see jobs in Writing,Designing etc. then how do I go about it. I would be more keen in keeping one single profile rather than making as many profiles as the categories in am interested in... Please advise.

Hi Digi Smart, I believe that you will need to create a secondary profile on your account, if you wish to bid on projects that fall outside of the Admin Category that you originally selected for yourself. And yes, that "Add Profile" button is the way you accomplish this. If I am not mistaken, that additional profile will use the same resume data, so you may need to make sure that you have included all of your work history and skills there. Thanks Christine, a lot helpful :)

Hello All, Christine is correct. To pursue work in an different category, you'd need to establish an additional profile within the desired category. Freelancers can create and maintain up to 10 different profiles within their account (5 of these can be at the free, Basic level). Moving forward, we do plan on restructuring profiles/skill categories to eliminate the restrictions imposed by the current method. Right now we're leaning towards a tag-based approach that will allow for increased flexibility. Information on these planned changes will be posted to our blog, as details become available. Thanks!!
