Can you add a note to remind people to make a copy of their proposal?

I submitted a proposal yesterday but it did not go through. I hit Submit. I suggest you add a note to remind people to make a copy of their proposal and not assume it will go through (and yes, I DID make a copy but if I had not, I would not have wanted to do that all over again)! The other reason I'd suggest you add a note like this is because if you wait, thinking you are waiting for a response from the client, you can lose your job to someone else - through no fault of your own.

Is this the first time it happened or are you experiencing it often? If its happening frequently, submit a support ticket and alert them of the problem so they can fix it in the back-end.

Typically when its happened to me, its my computer or internet connection causing the issue and not necessarily Guru.

Hi Maarit,

I am new to guru so this was my first proposal, and I tried to do everything right and carefully. I have a good cable connection and haven't had anything like this happen before, but I guess there's always a first time. I can't say what happened. But we'll see how my second one fares that I submitted today. :)

Just keep a back up in case it does glitch again and make sure to report it.

I, up until recently had a great internet connection and then all of the sudden I had all sorts of strange stuff start happening. Pages wouldn't fully load, forms I'd submit wouldn't send and it even prevented me from accessing my own web sites so I was annoyed and confused because my ISP told me my signal is strong, I had no viruses and my computer was working fine. Come to find out my router had gone bad. It was "old" and I needed a better one.

Soooo.... you may be right about the "first time" thing. lol

Thanks, I'll keep all that in mind. My router has seemed to be fine -- so far. I somehow hope it was a rare glitch, but the fact that there's a FAQ on it tells me it's happened before! As you said, it's important to keep a backup of what I send, and also to keep info on the job itself! The proposal info I copied had no job number or even the name of the job- it did not occur to me at the time that it wouldn't include that-didn't even check. Andwhen I searched again for the same job, I could not find it. I tried to use the only phrase I could remember from the job description, but I don't think it brought up that job in the short list I got back! Oh well-- I've sent out another proposal and the job seems to be as good an option as the other one, I think! :) Thanks for your responses and good luck on the site!!!!! I'll be seeing you in cyberspace! :)
