I transfered money into my account a few months back. My creator of the app has been really slow going and has not meet any deadlines yet nor do I know if he is doing the work. so I went to look into if my account to see if I can remove the money and it is showing up as 0 dollars in the account???? Anyone know?

Hi Ryan, Where exactly did you deposit the money? Was it into your cash account, or into a Safepay for that project, later to be paid to the freelancer on completion of the work? There is a huge difference between those two areas. If you put the money into your cash account it should still be there. Guru isn't in the habit of moving your funds around without your consent, so things should be as they were. If you put the funds into the Safepay, they won't show in your cash account balance but will instead be in the "payments" section, under "Manage Safepay." You should see the balance there, yet to be released. You won't be able to simply pull back the Safepay on your own, but that doesn't mean you can't get it back. You need to communicate with the freelancer via Guru messaging. Use the Guru messaging because it will keep a record of the conversation which can assist you later on if there is a dispute. Email is fine, but Guru staff don't have access to it if they need to determine where things have perhaps gone wrong or how they can help fix them. You need to let your freelancer know that you are voiding your contract with them due to non-performance and missed deadlines, and ask them kindly to refund the full amount of the Safepay. Be sure to indicate that you require a refund to be processed within a set period of time - whatever seems right to you....24 hours, 48 hours, etc. If they agree to the refund and send it along then things are fine. If not, you will then have to contact help desk for assistance. You can reach them via the "help" link at the top of this page, above the "Answers" banner. HTH :)
