Suggestion - Guru Answers Needs A Report Option

Where is the report link? I have 181 Karma (I think) and I don't see it on any of the posts.

The reason for my concern, I saw a post yesterday where someone asked for a specialist in a certain field and rather than directing them to the freelancers profile page here on Guru they were referred to the persons web site.

Which brings me to think that at some point you're going to have an influx of "cheaters" who come here and attempt to get some of the potential client's projects outside of Guru.

The concept of having to earn karma points to point out a problem makes no sense. With this new Guru Answer thing, Guru has promoted this as being a community. So if a member of the community finds something that he/she feels should be reported, they don't have the reporting option, but do have the option to post their concern on the main question board.

Btw, I too have earned enough karma points to have access to the report function. I only see it for Maarit's post, but no others that I've seen. Does that mean that the reporting function works only if both parties have access to the reporting function?

Hello, Maarit. There is a report option. Once 15 karma points have been earned, a user can report another user's post. However, we encourage Employers to post project questions here just as we did under the old Guru Answers. We help users name connections. It doesn't matter whether users make a connection through here, the bidding process, or direct contact.

I think you're seeing my tag that says report. I just spent a few minutes clicking on stuff and putting my mouse over everything and I found it.

It's located under the the "more" drop-down after "edit, close, delete".
