[Closed] e-book cover and design
|
Hello, All: I am new to guru and find the interface tricky. It is not like looking at a website with portfolios. Any advice on finding a designer that has compatible style is appreciated. I have a 150 page non-fiction book in Word that I would like formatted 1st for Amazon, then Smashword. It has black and white pen and ink illustrations being worked on now which will be ready by mid-summer or summer end. Any advice is most appreciated!

This post is about a specific project, and needs to be posted to http://guru.com for consideration by freelancers.

Here is a search query to narrow down the field of e-book designers.

Dana, Aside from the above suggestion of searching for a freelancer, I would also suggest posting your project. Give as detailed description as possible. Read the proposals that are submitted. Narrow down to the top 3. Look at their work samples, number of jobs completed, skills, qualifications and work samples (if any) listed in their profiles. You can call them (phone) to get a better feel of their understanding of the job and whether they are qualified. Just a suggestion, don't always go for the lowest bidder. Then pick the one you feel would be the best choice to work with. Keep communication open throughout your project.
