Why haven't I heard from 'future works' regarding the status of my project?

Have you attempted to contact them for an update? How long as it been since your last contact? It's possible that they are working on your project and are busy. Your first step should be to initiate contact with them directly and provide a period of time, say two-three business days, for a reply. If this doesn't work, then perhaps contact with Guru Helpdesk should be your next step, as they may attempt contact on your behalf.
