Is is allowed for employers to give jobs through Skype and pay through PayPal?

Someone was interested in having me complete a job and sent details through Skype. They also said they pay through PayPal. Is this a scam? I would have to do all the tax info myself.

In order to be paid, the employer needs to award you the job ON THIS SITE. Not by word of mouth saying "I'm hiring you or you're hired." At that point you can either accept the job or decline it.

After that the employers account needs to be verified. Then the employer needs to fund Safepay for the amount of your proposal. Then and ONLY then do you start work. (no matter how convincing the employer may be or how many promises they make to you.) No funds in Safepay, NO work.

Details of the job can be made anywhere, such as through the message area on this site, through Skype, through personal email, or even a phone call.

Employers can use PayPal to fund Safepay here, but they can't directly pay you "off site" with their Paypal account into whatever account you have.

To accept payment offsite can get your account suspended.

So, if the employer refuses or makes excuses NOT to hire you on this site, or their account can't be verified by Guru and if they refuse to fund Safepay, then they are SCAMMERS.
