There are so many things you can do to make it happen. Do you have samples of your work? Showcasing your past work and skills can go a long way toward boosting your potential on Guru. Writing fantastic proposals that will "sell" you to employers will help too, as will sticking to the deadline and plans you make with employers. Their feedback and recommendations can assist you in a big way. Credibility and honesty in your work will give your employers confidence in your abilities and could result in repeat business, so always communicate with your employers, whether it's good news or bad. Let them be part of the process - it is their project, after all. Do your best to offer creative solutions when problems arise. Be sure to build your profile so it's as complete as possible. You need to give as much detail as possible about your scheduling/hours and days of work, payment requirements (Safepay Escrow is your best option, IMHO), etc. The help files on Guru are a great place to start too. You should definitely visit them. You might also find it helpful to view the profiles of freelancers in your are of expertise. You can study those who have been successful and see what details they have elected to provide, as these could have an impact on how employers see them. HTH :)
