Can I change my account from freelancer to employer, using same email address?

I have a freelancer account. Never did anything with it.

Now I need to use Guru as an employer and I'd like to use the same email address.

  1. Can I change from freelancer to employer, with the same address?
  2. If I DELETE the freelancer account, will I be able to immediately create employer account with the SAME email from that deleted account?

Hi Jack,

You can't switch from Freelancer to Employer, using the same account. You would need to set up a separate Employer account, but unfortunately you can't use the same email address. You can use the same password though.

As for deleting the Freelancer account to allow that email address to be used on the new Employer account, I am unsure. I don't want to mislead you - I really don't know if the system will release the email from that account right away. Help desk would be your best contact for an answer to that one.
