For most matters, I am willing to work fixed bid. However, please understand that there may be some situations such as litigation, negotiations, etc. where fixed bid is not possible as the scope of work cannot be readily determined. I will always work with you to get you the best possible price.
For matters under $400, I usually ask that payment be made up front before work will be performed. For matters over this amount, I will accept a 1/2 down, 1/2 on completion. In rare cases, I will work on a payment plan.
