- Cost of engineering usually amounts to about 14% of the cost of tooling for manufacturing. My manufacturing partnerships will save a significant amount. 4 – Prototyping Using a variety of options depending on the purpose, shape, and size of the product, this will provide confidence in moving to the next phase (2 days – 1 week)

5 – Pre-production Tooling Use of aluminum injection mold tools allows early production versions of the parts to be produced at low costs allowing the market to be tested with minimal expense and risk. This production tooling can be used up to 250,000 parts (3 - 7 weeks)

I do prototyping and production with him at rates that are had to believe because I know his capabilities and will tailor the parts to his processes. His main work is injection molding in which his prices are generally only a fraction of other companies for tooling and very competitive for production and usually less than going overseas to Asia. I've seen a lot of project go to people who turn out impressive designs, but those designs don't always seem to be built – that will not happen with me.

I'm very skilled in CAD (SolidWorks). I'm capable of realistic photo renderings and product testing as well thus using CAD to provide as much information as possible before incurring the costs of prototypes.
