Highlights:I have had a great deal of experience in scientific writing and editing during the course of my career as a research scientist. This has included submitting scientific papers to journals, assessing and marking student coursework and helping others complete written work.

In addition, I have also had experience of writing and editing creative projects as part of my participation in a number of creative writing groups. I am equally comfortable dealing with both technical writing projects and creative projects.

I am fully computer literate, having been required to make use of a number of software oackages in my career. These include the standard MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and similar programs (WordPerfect, Lotus, Adobe). I have also worked with more obscure packages including statistics and graphics packages (SPSS, Minitab, Prism), Reference management software (Reference Manager) and specialist scientific software (WinMDI for analysing flow cytometry data, for example). I can usually pick up the basics of most software packages in a short amount of time and can master them with very little training.

I have submitted written work to a number of webpages, including one which is my own.
