| Highlights: | During my 30 years as a professional designer in theater, I learned to adjust my style to best serve the project. Consequently, I can produce art work in a variety of styles. Some projects require illustrations that are strongly detailed and vivid. Some are better served with a light touch. I can work in watercolor, pencil, ink line, or heavy impasto. Even more important than versatility, I learned to collaborate, to find a way to satisfy the author's vision as well as my own. Such collaboration stimulates my creativity and keeps my artwork fresh and interesting. I like illustrating dramatic moments full of attitude and action, rich in texture and atmosphere, or to bring focus to a single element in the story. |
| Work terms: | I request payment through SafePay Escrow which better ensures both parties' protection and satisfaction should any dispute arise. I only accept payment by Check, E-check, or Wire Transfer Funds. Transactions with these methods of payment are mutually beneficial, saving the transaction fees attached to Credit Card and PayPal payments. Plus employers earn Loyalty Dollars. I much prefer to communicate by email. That way, neither of us misses anything and we can go back and reread to be sure we understand what has been said. I find that writing my thoughts down clarifies them in my own mind and I'm more likely to have said what I meant to say. Also, my email never interrupts or calls you at an inconvenient time! Phone conversations my sometimes be unavoidable but should be kept to a minimum. Copyright to artwork I do for hire remains mine until it is paid for. Then you own the copyright but I retain the right to display it (with your name) in my portfolio and other personal promotion. I further guarantee that my artwork is entirely my own original work, and assume you will not ask me to copy another artist's work. Once our transaction is completed to both our satisfaction, I will leave honest feedback on your profile and hope you will do the same for me.
