| Highlights: | I got my start in the visual arts in the 80's drawing promotional flyers and t-shirt design for bands. This was the basis for an education in graphic design and also led me to painting. I started out as a self taught artist and have now studied art at Northeast State Community College, Athens State University, University of Alabama, and Jacksonville State University (BFA 2004).
My primary art is painting. I have done many gallery shows and festivals throughout the south east. My artwork has a unique style with eye candy elements, like bright vivid color, tricky dimensions, and twisted perspective. I paint a wide range of subjects that include robotic stick figures, tweaked out pets, female forms, space cruisers, landscapes, architecture, and still life. The study of form, mass, structure, color theory, and story element are important aspects of my work. |
