I have over 15 years of experience as a professional songwriter and visual artist, but in the last 5 years I've officially become a multimedia nerd--mostly self-taught. It started at New York Film Academy in a digital film making class--I was exploring a new direction. There I became hooked on timeline editing and effects/media design. On my own time I branched off into new media which led naturally to graphic design and the web. In the last 3 years I have learned strictly through field experience with 2 different design studios, personal clients, and as executive partner in a business which went from brick and mortar to web-only in a year. I have since started my own home-business, and I am doing my best work yet! Let me put it to you this way: This is what I love. If I don't know how to do it, I will find out and make it "go". I price appropriately for my credentials and too low for what I can really do. Above all, I'm honest. I won't do a project that is truly over my head, and I'm available after your project is launched for great customer service. |
| Work terms: | Who: My full name is Serena Andrews, but call me just by my first name, please. :) What - What Not: I *do* XHTML, CSS, Flash, web ads, animated gifs, media integration, blog customization. I *do not* write PHP, ASP, build shopping carts, do straight SEO unrelated to a complete project, or manage blogs/myspace/online community profiles etc. I am happy to work in conjunction with other guru professionals on bigger projects that reach outside of my specialties. Where: I work only from my lovely home office. When: I keep irregular office hours --that is, I work all the time unless I'm in a meeting with a client. My turnaround is quick, but I will quote you a time estimate on a project after receiving your details. If I am backed up with projects, I'll be sure to let you know.
