Highlights:Although I started off in the Graphic Design field I almost exclusively work in the illustration field in the area of children illustration but certainly not limited to such

Highlights include work for:

Sunset - a well known house & garden book publisher

Barron's Educational Series

Illustration work for over 12 children related books

Tile Design, Art for Photo Greeting Cards, Greeting Cards and T--Shirt Design

15 years creating print ads with quick turn around which includes hundreds of photo adjustments, photo retouching, custom illustration as well as logos, flyers, posters etc.
Work terms:Initially I like to talk with the client until I feel I have a good idea of what they are looking for and then proceed with a sample pencil sketch sent electronically. If both parties like the work a contract is drawn up.

I prefer to work electronically but if traditional watercolor illustration is preferred final art will be mailed.

If the job looks like it will go on for more than a month I like to set up one of two types of  payment schedules. Either 1/3 up front, 1/3 at approval of all sketches and the final 1/3 upon receipt or !/2 upon approval of sketches and the remaining half upon completion, it all depends on the complexity and length of the project.

Availability depends heavily on what projects I am currently working on.

I usually work on a per hour rate. Once I do a sketch I can judge how long it will take to go to final and present a quote at that time. On some jobs I also work on a per piece basis.
