Highlights:I have been creating custom web solutions for clients for over a decade now, and have in that time worked on every conceivable type and scale of project. I consider myself a very well rounded developer who is rarely constrained by the limitations of conventional practices.

I specialise in innovative PHP and MySQL solutions for CMS and site administrative panels; and dynamic, user-friendly front end interfaces incorporating AJAX, PHP, and Javascript.
Work terms:Communication

I am available by email, telephone, or most Instant Messaging solutions at all times (within reason!). I like to think that I am extremely responsive, and don't believe in keeping clients hanging about for answers or updates. By the same token, I expect much the same responsiveness from an employer.

Work Ethics

I tend to adhere to the "measure twice, cut once" method of working on more complex projects. I am often contracted by individuals and companies that were tempted by low-cost
offshore development but wound up with a low-quality, inadequate, or
nonexistent products as a result and that's not something you'll experience with me.

I always guarantee my work as far as possible - obviously web development is a dynamic process and code can't be backwards compatible forever, but I never charge for small fixes or updates to projects that haven't been disabled by server OS updates, new browser releases, etc. I am happy to give maintenance contracts if required of course, but they really shouldn't be necessary assuming the job is done properly the first time.

Payment & Feedback

I ask for escrow payments the first time I work with a new employer, with very few exceptions. After successful completion of an initial job, I am happy to work on trust and simply invoice through Guru for subsequent work.

I use the Guru feedback system in an honest and forthright manner, and appreciate if clients take the time to do the same for me.
