Hi, I'm Blake Hughes, Lead Editor for Thompson Communications. Since the day
I won my second-grade spelling bee, I have known that speaking and writing
English is my forte. My classmates knew me as the guy with the best overall
English skills, so it was natural for me to begin expanding and exploring my
language interests and abilities. Beyond spelling, punctuation and grammar, I
made up word games, compiled language categories and commented on trends in
speech. Catechism class soon lost some of its appeal, but I was developing into
a pretty good little writer. I won that year's spelling bee, too.
When I became a GED instructor 15 years ago, my language skills were put to
professional use, and I was counted upon to proofread and edit essays,
documents and curricula for the students, faculty and administration. Those
skills I had long taken for granted had become marketable, and other editing
projects started coming my way. The satisfaction I derived from a client's
appreciation of my work compelled me to make English-language services my
profession. Editing a wide variety of written communications, I developed an
even keener eye and ear for appropriate English. Now I'm privileged to ply my
linguistic talents for Jennifer Thompson's top-flight English-language service,
and I would be privileged to work with you.

Payment method: We prefer transactions through SafePay Escrow via check, E-check, and wire transfer funds.
We prefer to communicate by e-mail, however, we are certainly open to telephone calls when the matter is urgent or the client is more comfortable discussing the project over the telephone.
We are available during most business hours, but of course some of our work is done outside of those hours. We are happy to set up hours of availability with each employer.
