Highlights
|
I began working here on Guru.com in July of 2010 with an excess of enthusiasm and idealism that continues to motivate me! Today, I proudly call myself an experienced freelance editor and proofreader, as well as an aspiring ghostwriter.
I excel at detailed proofreading for errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and flow, as well as conceptual work for content editing, rewriting, and ghost-writing.
My academic background ensures a perfect polish on any document, as well as unique, interesting writing informed by my classical training in literature and the arts. I have a strong grasp of English, French, and Russian prose and poetry that gives me a nearly-impossible standard to live up to!
My creative writing experience, including my work with clients at GiveAPoem.com, a website where clients can commission poems from accomplished poets for any occasion, gives me an innovative edge in every project I work on, whether it's writing original web content or new dialog for a novel! I received an award for outstanding undergraduate work in 2010, the Morris W. Croll Prize in 2011, and the Ward Prize in 2012.
Most recently, I am so happy to announce that author Laurie Scott-Reyes's new book, Consider the Ravens, which I was fortunate enough to proofread, is now available on Amazon! Congratulations, Laurie!

I firmly believe that dedication, punctuality, a respect for deadlines, and an inherent professionalism are some of the most important qualities in a freelancer. I'm happy to say that all my clients thus far have found that I possess those attributes!
If you have budget concerns (especially on personal projects, like speeches, poems, letters, etc), don't hesitate to let me know! We can (almost) always work something out.
My fee for straightforward proofreading-- grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity-- is $2.00 per double-spaced page.
My fees for other, more involved projects are flexible, and I tend to set a price on a case-by-case basis.
I do not work for a per-hour fee, unless the client specifically requests it!
