Work Terms

I work only with employers who agree to the SafePay Escrow Service. Payment terms and deadlines are to be agreed upon in advance of any work. Generally, I require 25% of the agreed compensation when the contract award is made and before starting work, an additional 25% once a mutually agreed upon mid-project milestone is accomplished, and the remaining amount due upon final delivery of the completed project.
Should we encounter a situation in which the project grows significantly in scope as we work on it additional charges will be negotiated. Significant growth in scope can be defined in this case as growth of more than 10% from the originally agreed upon deliverables.
The Employer will be charged for any materials purchases and/or postage required to accomplish the project on an at cost basis.
Once final payment is made it means that you ARE happy with the content that’s provided, and won’t request any edits or rewrites.
I prefer to communicate with an employer about the project by e-mail and phone. As my project Employer, you can expect regular, though not intrusive, communication about your project. I can be reached from 9am through 5pm Central Standard Time (US) from Monday through Friday.
I reserve the right to decline work containing material that in my judgment is offensive, objectionable, unethical, or illegal. Any claim for damages resulting from the work I do for you shall be limited to the amount of money you have paid me for that project.
