People like to set themselves up for disappointment. They want to hear what they like without being realistic with the timeline and budget.
Example: They like to hear other companies to Over-Promise and never reflect that "WOW, is this GUY for Real or just BSing me?"
My Most favorite conversation with a customer is as follows:
"The other company offers LIFETIME warranty on the software!!!"
I asked him, "So if that company goes out of business, how good is that warranty!" :)
YOU GET FOR WHAT YOU PAID FOR:
You do not expect to get a MERCEDES Ride for the price of a HONDA.
That is kind of expecting to HIT the LOTTERY. Which is kind of Day Dreaming??
Numerous people like to search for the best deal from the web, but in reality
"IS THERE SUCH A DEAL?"
I think that people looking for vendors should look at History and Credibility more than anything else.
Look for a partner that would CONTRIBUTE to the business more than anything else.
EVERYONE Can CODE, but creating the RIGHT SOFTWARE SOLUTION for the customer is ANOTHER. We are constantly innovating for the customers.
