We are a small Houston, Texas-based web design shop focusing on WordPress, Expression Engine and CMS Made Simple web sites for professionals and small business owners. In addition to web design, we offer graphic arts, proofreading and copywriting and limited SEO services.
We have been designing web sites and themes for WordPress since March 2004 and have released over two dozen themes to the WordPress community. Joni Mueller's "Zen Minimalist" WordPresstemplate was named "Most Versatile Design" in Alex King's WordPress Theme Competition in 2005 and remains one of the most popular minimalist designs today.
We also have expertise in forum management, particularly SMF (Simple Machines Forum), and design for the following CMSs in addition to the ones named above: Movable Type, PHP Website, Drupal and PixelPost.
Ivan Minic, Pixelita's graphic artist, also owns and operates the largest internet forum in Serbia and has vast knowledge of forum management and maintenance, SEO techniques and site maintenance. In addition, Ivan has written several browser plugins, most notably for Firefox and IE.

Ivan Minic is a web designer, web developer and graphic artist born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. His large collection of stunning wallpapers, banners and buttons can be seen in the Opera Community. In addition to offering custom graphics and design, Ivan has expertise in forum management and modification and is owner and operator of Burek.co.yu, the largest Internet forum in Serbia. And as if that wasn’t enough, Ivan has written several browser plugins (most notably for Firefox and Internet Explorer). Ivan is a member at large of the Graphic Artists Guild.
Ivan is the creative genius (right brain) behind Pixelita Designs and is responsible for all graphic elements of web sites created by Pixelita Designs after January 1, 2006. Ivan has been designing web sites since 1999. In addition to phenomenal creativity, Ivan has a perfectionist attitude and attention to detail, right down to the last pixel. Says his business partner Joni Mueller:
He works in pixels all day and he can see if a design is one pixel off from ten miles away. It can be maddening, but at the same time, I am glad for it; we try to deliver quality work and he’s never let a client down yet!
Maintaining his forum takes up quite a bit of Ivan’s time, along with his graphic design work, but when he finds time to spare, Ivan enjoys shooting hoops, paintball and drawing (of course!). |

Joni Mueller lives and works in Houston, Texas. The native Texan has been designing web pages professionally since 2003. She is a member of the HTML Writers Guild. Joni specializes in blog design for users of Movable Type, WordPress, TextPattern and Blogger. In 2005, Joni’s WordPress theme Zen Minimalist won Most Versatile Design in Alex King’s WordPress Theme Competition. Joni has been an active blogger since 2002 and is a member of the HTML Writers Guild/Int’l Webmasters Guild.
Joni, as the left-brain side of Pixelita Designs, also brings to her web design work an appreciation for quality copywriting and an excellent command of the English language, two things she feels are sorely lacking on the Web:
I see so many web sites, professional, commercial sites, that are riddled with misspellings and incorrect grammar. To me, it’s like chalk on a blackboard. If I’m putting my best professional foot forward on the web, I want it to be perfect. Or at least grammatically correct. |

Payment
We accept checks drawn on a business account, PayPal and payment through any of the Guru.com systems.
WEB SITE DESIGN: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the project is due upon commencement of the project. Another milestone, 25% of total cost of project, is due upon approval of web design, before site build commences. The final milestone, or the balance of 25% and any other costs, expenses or additional charges due to change orders, are due upon completion of work, before upload of web site files to client’s server.
GRAPHIC DESIGN: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the project is due upon start of work. The balance of 50% of total and any other costs, expenses or additonal charges due to change orders, are due upon completion.
WEB COPYWRITING & PROOFREADING: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the project is due upon start of work. The balance of 50% of total and any other costs, expenses or charges as a result of change orders, are due upon completion.
Sales Tax
Pixelita Designs is required by state law to collect 8.75% sales tax on all goods and services provided to web design clients residing in Texas.

All deposits for work are non-refundable. No exceptions.
