Always
look for long term opportunities with stable companies, that have
realistic expectations and funding available for a 3 month period, at
the very least. I require an advance retainer either as a deposit in
Escrow or an Invoice for the first month. Escrow Release Requests and
Invoices need to be paid within 24 hours, preferably the same day that
I create them. 'Fast Payment makes Fast Friends', a quote from a
friend of mine.
Prefer to speak to my clients weekly or more
often at a mutually convenient time, and of course emails are welcome.
I work with the individual that hires me, usually a company owner, or
VP, not someone else that the client later designates to work with
me. I work hard as a respected partner and consultant, and am not an
administrative asistant or employee.
Request no micro managing,
and will not interconnect my computer with anyone else's for any
reason. CRM's are fine, like Sales Force. My preference is to not
'team up' with other Guru professionals that you may hire for the same
project.
Appreciate employers who give me the opportunity to
be creative and forge ahead with the project, that are easy going,
mature and can be reached easily when needed. I also want employers
who are generous with good feedback and I will do the same.
