Highlights
|
Fifteen years ago, I made the transition from high level nursing to my first love, journalism, while working for Genentech, Inc., a world renowned Biotech Company in CA. While employed there, I wrote appeals letters to insurance companies and was assigned several other forms of medical writing. Within months I was tapped by their CEO to a write press Q&A for an upcoming International press junket that the Executive Committee at GNE would be conducting to introduce Genentech's new, highly anticipated groundbreaking drug, Rituxin. Following that, I wrote press releases and speeches in Genentech's Corporate Communications Department. While working in the non-profit sector, I became a successful grant writer; writing several grants for programs to be implemented by Archbishop William LeVada at Catholic Charities of San Francisco, and ultimately raising over $2.5 million dollars. I was once again promoted to write talking points for the press and I wrote speeches for Archbishop LeVada, who is now a prelate to Pope Benedict in Rome. I then accepted a position as a columnist for a San Francisco newpaper, writing Family Matters; In The Blendor, for five years. These days, I occasionally find time to top off my blog, Noelle: Standing Still on blogger, and for Wordpress. Some of my work can also be found on eZine, Associated Content, and eHow. I have been a serious, full time freelance current events, fictional, web content and copy writer since leaving California 4 years ago.

Work Terms

Long term collaboration with my clientele is of utmost importance to me. Different types of work take varying amounts of time, so when submitting any bid, my initial consideration will be quality and cost efficiency. Calculating exactly how long I anticipate it will take to produce a product of the highest quality a priority; in order to provide you with a real time estimate about the completion of your job with the highest level of satisfaction at the least amount of cost to you. I am fast & efficient, however I don't scrimp on quality. I believe that every project is an unfinished project until we are both completely satisfied with the quality and message of the work. When I am working for you, your reputation is as important to me as is my own. If ever we have a conflict I will give you two free complete consultations and re-writes; however we won't stop until I acheive exactly what you had in mind. I am available by email at SurreyMathers@gmail.com. If we work together,I would appreciate that you post any feedback you may have on Guru and I will reciprocate. I also ask that if you are satisfied with my work you give me an endorsement within your Guru Network. I have an extremely high code of ethics, no job is too large or too small, and I enjoy writing about crafting, holidays, cooking and decorating; just as much as I do about Science and Politics. I prefer to be paid through Guru's Safe Pay Escrow service. I look forward to our successfull collaboration!
