Administered TPM (Total Predictive Maintenance) process within the Alcoa Truck wheels heat treating department with a 33% increase in output without replacing existing equipment or adding personnel.
Designed and specified components for a multi-million dollar Down-Coiler Hydraulic system. Initiated and wrote the hydraulic specifications used for the entire plant upgrade in Hungary. Selected vendors and monitored all aspects of vendor interaction until completion of design and sign-off by the customer.
Used AutoCad 2005 to create fabrication drawings for complicated weldments for large steel service center machinery. Self-checked work and corrected layouts where errors appeared. Also implemented machining dimensioning process to make complicated multi-axis machining processes easier to read by the machining center operators.
Calculated and created hydraulic system for the most powerful Aluminum bar stretcher in the world. Selected all the components and inspected bids from vendors. Worked with purchasing to get the best price for what was needed. Policed vendors for deliverables and dates promised and kept the project on time and under budget.
Developed and implemented process improvements throughout the steel making process at Mital and formerly LTV steel plant. This included Ladle hood wire feel systems, hood safety chains, access door sensors and testing sensors to allow operator to get the batch chemistry as exact as possible by means of computers. |
