Modeling in SolidWorks has been my primary focus for the past 8 years and I have certification from SolidWorks having taken their sheetmetal course. I am an inventor on my own (member of InventVermont) and have a product called Connect Quick (connectquick.net) being marketed nationwide. This experience and the work that I have done while employed by national companies has given me years of experience in the pitfalls and successes of bringing a product to market.

Through these many and varied work experiences I have acquired a sizable stable of vendors in many disciplines and have found that I can draw on their expertise and abilities to help my customers find the right mix of value for their dollar.

I find that I have developed diplomatic and understanding ways with all sides of the projects from tradesmen to suppliers to customers and can provide the liaison required to move the issues into fruitful product rendition.

Additional Skills:	I have been involved in product development for areas of interest ranging from high speed book and paper binding, to the world's purest glass for microlithography, to commercial sheetmetal, welding, machining, semiconductor exhaust, outdoor power equipment, high dollar home lighting, solar and wind energy systems, and many more. I am currently a Program Manager/Engineer for a composites company and work part-time performing this type of consulting and modeling work. I also partner with a firm that provides sourcing from mainland China and have a key group of around 15-20 factories at our disposal. We have engineers on the ground in the Shanghai area that oversee production, assure quality control and release for shipment which we also arrange. I find that my expertise is in design for manufacturability as I am skilled in a number of the trades mentioned above so I understand the needs on the production floor. This translates into a much shorter time to market in that I am not running down dead ends and backing up, as many younger designers may be prone to do. I have my own prototype shop for small projects which has machining (milling machine and lathes), welding (TIG, Stick), sheetmetal (brake, rolls etc.)

Work Terms

I very much prefer an open and communicative relationship with my customers. Starting from a point of professional respect for each other and hopefully building a very strong and trusting partnership, whether it is for only one project or for ongoing business.

My payment preferences are using the escrow service or E-Check. Once a longer term relationship has been built I am open to discussing other options if these are not as satisfactory to the client.

On longer term projects, if progress payments are being made I expect that they will be kept up to-date or further submittals on my part will be withheld until caught up.

Email is my preferred method of communication. I am very quick to check email and response should be within a few hours. This allows you to contact me as you need to and for me to have a way of clarifying the scope and requirements.

Due to my regular employment I answer emails as time allows during the work day and I am available in the evening Eastern Time and on weekends.
