The design department was only utilizing 50-60% of their resources on a monthly basis. By analysing and evaluating the work-flow process; was able to develop and implement solution. RESULTS: Increased resource utilization 30% raising divisional financial goal to 85-90%.
A new product introduction needed to be ‘to market’ in a 12 week window, however the usual design cycle time was 16-20 weeks. I set up a cross-functional design team to focus on the problem and concurrently solved the design and manufacturing issues. RESULTS: Reduced design cycle by 40% and met 12-week commitment.
Launching of a new broadcast system from concept to shipment took 14 – 16 weeks. Initiated a “Fast Track” streamlining design process. RESULTS: Reduced concept to shipment to 10 weeks achieving a 30% reduction in lead-time.
A new product was being designed and prototyped in an 8 week window by a cross functional team. Supervised and coordinated the activities of all the team members on a complex design project. RESULTS: Received a $20,000 order by completing project on time and budget.
Company was taking a product from “design to manufacture”. Utilising mechanical and manufacturing skills developed methodology for manufacturing product. RESULTS: Reduced the manufacturing costs of product by 30%.
