I look at each project as a challenge. Getting to the foundation of a project needs is my strong suite. I like to get to know who I am working for along with all that is necessary to perform my funciton.
Troubleshooting has become a learned asset after so many years in manufacturing. I have discovered over the years that steady progress puts you farther ahead than short bursts of speed. That is the way I work. I believe that methodical planning and step by step action gets the best results.
The fable of the tortoise and hare has been for me a tremendous life lesson. Any fees that I receive will be well worth the price to the client. Accuracy is key to good design and drafting. Without that key speed gets you very little.

Part of my daily function is to make production improvements on existing production machinery. These improvements may include tooling and fixturing upgrades which I design and implement, and along with that redesign for automation through part conveyance through a machining cell.
I have experience in Kaizen and SMED functions as well as PokeYoke. These methods have been part of the manufacturing culture with which I have grown accustomed to. Continuing improvements for product flow and manufacturing costs has been the main stay of the company with which I have been associated with for over 20 years.
Although my freelance work is part time, I believe I can be an asset to anyone who is willing to give me an opportunity to prove myself. With over 35 years in manufacturing, I have a lot to offer. |

Work Terms

I work as an independant contractor. My business is part time, work hours in the evenings or as needed for a particular project with the possibility of some week end work. My office is in my home which allows me to work as needed without the necessity of a commute.
I hold a day job with a major manufacturer and therefore not available to work onsight as yet. Since I am nearing retirement age that could change since there would be nothing to keep me from going onsight.
I prefer communication by email (see contact info) but will communicate by phone as needed for a project. My home office hours will normally be 5:30PM -10:00 PM eastern time Monday - Thursday. If special arrangements for a project are needed that can be negotiated.
My preferred method of payment is through SafePay Escrow, and will only accept Check E-check or Wire Transfer. This ensures everyones satisfaciton. I expect to fully satisfy all my clients, and I expect the same in return.
Feedback comments are a plus for all parties. I will give feed back on my clients and will greatly appreciate any feedback comments on my work performance.
