I have been a mechanical engineer for 15 years and have designed or developed a number of systems during the course of my career. I also have skills as an analyst, both computational and hand calculations.
There are two areas in which I particularly excel:
- SolidWorks: I have been using this package since 1998 and I provided technical support for it for a short time. Everywhere I have worked I have been the goto person for help with this tool.
- Engineering Analysis: Due to a theoretically rigorous education I have more advanced skills in mathematics and engineering physics than most engineers. I have been able to use this to find qualitative answers to problems quickly and apply them generally.
The bulk of my career I have been a design engineer, working on mass-produced products and custom machines in equal proportion. I have worked for small companies as the sole engineer on staff developing new products and as the member of large teams expanding the capacity of automotive production lines.
I strive to provide the best service possible. Given your requirements, I can compete the project to your satisfaction and equally importantly help you fully define the project so that I get the information I need and you get the result you need.

Any feedback you can provide on the quality of my work and interaction will be greatly appreciated. I will also be happy to provide my own evaluation of your support if that is desired.
I do require that my clients understand that in many cases the design process will require regular communication between myself and the client. I prefer to use e-mail for most of my client correspondence, however when a lot of information needs to be related and understood I often prefer the phone.
I am generally available during the business day up to about 3:00pm Eastern time in the USA.
