This mural reflects the spiritual aspects of the lotus flower. In some
Eastern traditions it symbolizes higher consciousness. It's sometimes
described as having light coming from within. The client wanted all the
colors corresponding to the Chinese elements used in the
mural.

The dragon is about the size of your average four-year-old , and greets
the children as they walk into the children's area of the library. The
rest of the mural is filled with images of different cultures from
around the world, as well as characters from childrens books (Some of
my own characters are included!)
