Educational Publishing
With 9 years experience writing and editing materials for children and teachers, and 9 years as a classroom teacher, I understand both children and publishing.

My educational publishing experience includes writing original leveled reading stories and activities for ages 4-13, writing passages and items for standardized tests and online assessments, and revising a curriculum written in India for North American teachers and students and primary reading level. I also worked onsite for a major educational publisher on literacy and ELL projects from manuscript through final files in Word, Adobe Professional and InCopy. I also wrote and edited student materials, teacher books and teaching aids for two Christian publishers.

General Editorial Qualifications
I have a B.A. in Education and continued my education with graduate courses in literature for children and young adults and teaching writing. I wrote for my college newspaper and later worked part-time for a local newspaper as a features writer. I enjoy editing and proofreading all types of writing and have experience editing graduate theses and other writing for an adult audience.
