|
· AIRBUS project- Developed a Video interface card, using Xilinx xc2v3000 FPGAs, capable of receiving multiple high-speed serial video signals of different formats such as DVI and SMPTE 259M, reformatting them to CDS protocol and crossing them to a number of output ports. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· In-circuit-validator for Gaming application- Managed and participated in the development of a device to validate Compact Flash memory contents using Xilinx Spartan II, VHDL and standard SHA-1 hash code algorithms. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Digital clock/ MP3 sound system- Architected a wireless 2.5Ghz 802.11 system to downstream Internet Digital clock/Radio news and MP3 music. Built a prototype by developing a 10W audio amplifier/ LCD sound board integrated with a wireless modem.
· RGB to CAT5 Converter- Developed a low noise differential transmitter/ receiver video amplifier board to transmit RGB and composite V-H signals over 8-wire CAT5 cable of 300 feet length. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Audio Noise Canceller- Managed and developed a DSP board for audio noise cancellation. Used ultra-low noise audio amplifiers and precision audio transformers for best signal integrity. Programmed Lattice PLD. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Handheld Wireless Video Display- Managed, and participated in the development of a wireless VGA LCD monitor. Built a PCI bus basestation card using, wireless modem chipset, Cypress FPGA and VHDL code. Developed WinCE device drivers and build the OS for a PC x86 environment. Team developed hardware and embedded software for the companion wireless hand-held VGA LCD monitor.
· DSP FIR and IIR algorithms- to filter audio signals generated from a hydrophone source, having a steep roll off and a tight linear phase requirement.
· FMFSK RF modem Base Controller - Managed and developed an ISA bus 75-Ohm cable RF transceiver for cable television. Implemented phase locked loop, double conversion FM receiver, FM transmitter, RF filters and matching components. Team implemented ISA bus interface, microcontroller and other digital logic circuits, developed embedded software for the card and low-level application software for PC interface. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Video Target Tracking System- Managed and developed a DSP based VME bus card to track real time video targets. Team developed DSP hardware and algorithm for real time functions in C and TMS320C51 assembly code. Designed and debugged in code composer environment including DSP algorithms for image filtering, gray level mass centroid, image recognition, estimation and tracking. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Train Emergency Breaking system- Managed and developed a multi-tasking real time software design requirements for Train Emergency Breaking system.
· PC based Hand-held Computer- Managed and developed hardware and OS for a hand-held computer based on AMD ELANSC300 microprocessor. The hand-held computer featured flash disk, DRAM, LCD interface, PCMCIA interface, bar-code scanner interface, memory and power management.
· Universal Telecommunication Network Switch- Developed a VME based network switch including digital and analog circuits, high speed serial bus interface, VME bus interface, PLL circuits, high-speed dual RAM, using Altera CPLD,VHDL design, verification and implementation.
· Pulse-forming Transmitter Network- Developed pulse forming transmitter circuit for a pumped diode laser. Prepared circuit analysis, simulation, Parts selection, schematic capture and reliability reports.
· Laser Range Finder- Performed various studies for improving electronics circuits of a family of laser range finder systems. This includes ASIC performance study, Pspice simulation, logic timing and reliability analysis.
· Hematocrit centrifuge- Directed, managed and developed a battery-operated Hematocrit centrifuge. Provided system and design requirements specifications and mechanical consideration. The electronics included LCD display, Intel 8052 microcontroller, Brushless DC motor driver and battery charging circuits. Tested the prototype unit successfully.
· Redundancy Concepts- Developed module redundancy concepts for a multi-module industrial control system. Defined detailed software specification including redundancy concepts and completed the feasibility studies document.
· Robotics Vehicle- Developed the main controller module, hardware and firmware, of a robotics vehicle made for storm-water pipe inspection. The electronics included Motorola 68HC1, FSK communication circuits, camera control, H-bridge brush motor drivers and high voltage surge protection. Tested the prototype unit successfully
