Highlights
|
Tom Gustin, as GUSTECH, provides broad-market, contract electronic hardware and systems engineering design and consulting services: Research, Planning, Design, Tech-Writing, and Training, from concept through rapid-prototyping completion.
Gustech performs many different types of electronic engineering services, engineering design, usually as contract engineering, including hardware design, VHDL, analog design, digital design, research services, planning, product development, product modernization, technical writing, training services, rapid prototyping, as a consultant or freelance engineer. The most common tasks include schematic capture, board layout and board design, systems engineering, Data Acquisition Systems, custom event recorders, seminars, workshops. The hardware designs use PLDs, CPLDs, FPGAs, CPUs, DSPs and a huge assortment of analog and other digital and discrete components. Planning services result in extremely detailed GANTT Charts and Work Breakdown Structures. Most services are rendered as a telecommuting technologist. Research includes feasibility studies, studies, market research, design tradeoff, while design tasks include a statement of work, specification, design review, simulation. We usually contract via firm fixed fee or time and materials, and rarely as a temporary part-time off-site employee. Our web site contains many more details and lots of examples of each type of service rendered. How may we serve you?

Prefer: Telecommuting Contracts
If concise Statement-Of-Work exists, then willing to develop a Firm-Fixed-Fee proposal including concept-to-completion Work Breakdown Structure and its subsequent, fully loaded Critical Path GANTT Chart (including milestones, dependencies, costs, calendars, PERT outputs, etc.)
___my Proposal -> your Purchase Order -> my Invoice(s) -> your Payment(s) {{1099}}
If more "fluid" arrangement is needed or the tasks are not well defined yet (because that will be part of the job to be accomplished), then generally contract as Time-And-Materials.
___my Proposal -> your Purchase Order -> my Invoice(s) -> your Payment(s) {{1099}}
Rarely, and only if needed for funding purposes (i.e. STTRs) will consider temporary part time employee status.
___my Timesheet(s) -> Payment(s) {{W2}}
Many Engineering Design Service Contracts do require a little on-site time for major design review; willing to travel some, as required.
If a job is "local" to the Dayton, Ohio region, then some local travel is also possible.
In the case of providing Technical Training Services, travel is usually required.
NOTE to all concerned potential partners: I maintain complete client anonymity. My web site (www.gustech.biz) provides more details under Consulting Details and Privacy Policy pages. Also note that most of my clients I have never actually met in person. Running a "one-stop-shop" has these, and many other benefits.
How may I serve you?
