I'm in the funny business. Well ... marketing, branding and bringing positive attention to it, at least. As Director of Marketing, Publicity and Media Relations for Appleton, Wis.-based Skyline Comedy Cafe I:
-develop Web content for SkylineComedy.com, MySpace, fbook and Twitter.
-launched and maintain an exclusive backstage blog "Behind The Mic" that features interviews I do weekly with America's top comedians, before they hit our venue.
-am the bridge between the public, media and our performers.
-write and propose all press releases.
-produce our monthly e-mail newsletter distributed to our in-house built client database.
-cross-market with area businesses to co-promote and create a positive community image.
-evaluate the efficacy of our print ads and online ads on social networking sites, as well as manage and produce content for updates on all sites.
-create all online calendar submissions.
-develop all written content for each event and, with the owner, co-create and produce all our campaigns - such as free "Nights of Laughter" as seen on CNN, Nightly News with Brian Williams and media outlets around the U.S.
-do HTML/CSS coding/design for MySpace.

Work Terms

Projects are paid as such: 50% down payment, 50% upon delivery of services.
Retained projects: 100% is paid at the beginning of each term.
Accepting projects for fall 2009 through Spring 2010.
Available after 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Saturday by appointment. Email and phone communication is welcomed.
