Everyone has a special skill. Some people are good at crunching numbers. Some are good at music. I happen to have a gift for writing. A published author and university lecturer, I have been freelancing since 1980. In addition to writing advertising copy and product brochures, I have produced web content, blogs, press releases, interviews, product reviews, inspirational articles, and a variety of other promotional and journalistic materials. My writing has appeared in The Toledo Blade, The Bay City Times, and The Flint Journal, to name just a few. Right now I prefer to work on developing and proof-reading web content and blog copy, taking your basic ideas and turning them into stellar work. I do not believe in coming in with a low bid just to win your business, as I am confident in my work and its value. I am based in Michigan and am easily accessible by phone and email; I will work with you to ensure that your writing needs are met. I am new to Guru, but not new to writing, so let my experience and fast project turn-around time work for you.

Work Terms
|
I prefer to price a job at a flat rate, roughly based on a fee of $30 per hour. As I mentioned in my skills section, I am confident in my ability and see no reason to come in with a low bid just to win your work, as I know the value of my writing. While I am careful and precise, my experience allows me to work quickly expertly and save you money in the long run.
Timing for payment delivery is negotiable, although I would prefer half the cost up-front. Being based in Michigan, I make myself available to clients via phone and internet communication and pride myself on close contact and a desire to make sure we both know what you want to accomplish with the work.
I reserve the right to reject any offer for any reason, but I will absolutely not take on any political work, controversial projects, or any other writing jobs that make me uncomfortable.
