Highlights
|
Since 2001, I've offered professional consulting, copy writing, and editing support to individuals, businesses, and creative agencies. Prior to that I operated a successful independent publishing company (www.holtgws.com) that focused on education issues.
I am a highly accomplished writer and editor with expertise in technology, financial, education, and general interest publications. I am adept at strategic planning and communicating in a variety of voices and styles to accomplish a client's goals, as my portfolio demonstrates (www.patrickfarenga.com). As an editor, I substantially improve written materials for clients, including checking grammar, copy editing, corrections to non-native English, pre-print proofreading, and websites.
Recent highlights include: -Rewriting and redesigning a restaurant/catering website (www.plazacateringdeli.com). -Copy editing of financial and business books for John Wiley & Sons, such as Private Equity in China and Good Counsel: Meeting the Legal Needs of Nonprofits. -Creating white papers, case histories, press releases, and media kits for software and Internet companies.
I communicate effectively with all types of clients so I can learn how they can best express their messages and craft their public image.
