Abi, the editor, helps writers of all skill levels weed out common problems in writing such as repetitiveness, wordiness, poor structure/organization, inconsistencies, poor word choices, and vagueness. In addition, Abi has excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, as well as the ability to edit content for accuracy and typos. She has mastered several style guides and adapts to house styles very easily. She is fast yet meticulous, and she always meets deadlines.

With a BA in English and Journalism, Abi is also a seasoned writer.

For editing projects, Abi works primarily in Microsoft Word with the "Tracked Changes" feature enabled so that the client can see all of the changes and comments. Abi executes editing projects in collaboration with our clients. We begin by discussing the scope of the project with the client to gain understanding of the client's expectations and goals for the project.

Fred, our graphic designer, has many years of experience in the graphics industry. He has worked as a graphic artist at the Detroit Free Press and with countless freelance companies and organizations on logos, book covers, publication design, advertisements, Flash presentations, posters, invitations, business cards, and a variety of other visual content.

Work Terms

Long-term projects are those that last for 5 weeks or longer. Payment terms for these projects are agreed upon on a project-by-project basis between Rising Ambitions and the client. For projects of more than $1000, we will require a portion of the total cost as a deposit.
