I am a stay-at-home-mom with a creative streak and excellent skills in writing and editing. I have taught writing workshops for children and have written plays, skits, short stories, poems, and songs for children.
I have taught several courses of high school level biology and chemistry and I plan to study high school physics in the next year. I love science, but I hate dry textbook treament of fascinating truths. I believe science is fun and I communicate that in my writing and teaching.
I am a cake baker and decorator and can often be found up to my eyeballs in flour. Truth be told, I just plain ole love to cook food. Poorly written recipes are one of my pet peeves. They make me want to edit, edit, Edit!
Household appliances are the tools of my trade. Translation? I can write about blenders or vacuum cleaners or refrigerators with equal ease.
I am low-tech: I do not have an iPod, a cell phone (heck, I don't even have a cordless!), a tv, a vcr, a blackberry, a blueberry, or a strawberry - unless they're on sale at the grocery store - or any of that other techy "stuff".
I DO have an iMac. I LOVE my iMac!
I maintain a web presence on Squidoo and Blogger. Samples of my work can be seen at both sites.
