Name:
Excerpt from novel, "Burning Rubber"
BURNING RUBBER CTD!.doc
Description:
“Last year, Jimbo (pointing) and I flooded the entire campus one day (actually, it was just part of the football field); busted a water main – they had to evacuate the whole fuckin’ place. Know what else we did – athletically speaking? The fuckin’ president came to UCR to give some bullshit speech, make some presentation to the baseball team jackoffs – we covered the podium with super glue – the old bastard got his fly stuck, had to get his flunkies to rescue him. (Complete fantasy – what fuckin’ president would visit a shithole like UCR?)
And you know what else I did? Went to Vegas, won ten grand on a slot machine and bought every guy in the freshman dorm a hooker and a case of beer. Got kicked out of school but was reinstated when my classmates – outraged at my treatment - rioted and trashed the whole fuckin’ place – how do you like that?” (In truth, I went to Vegas, drank a case of beer, thought of hiring a whore but was too scared, and lost all my money - $150.00.)
“I could go on and on, my friend, but you get the picture – I’ve had a great fuckin’ academic career, and it ain’t over yet.
