I am the author of five novels and the owner of the publishing company Marquette Fiction www.MarquetteFiction.com
I am a professional editor and proofreader and owner of Superior Book Promotions www.SuperiorBookPromotions.com
I have a B.S. and M.A. from Northern Michigan University and a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. I have taught a variety of classes ranging from freshman composition to literature and argumentative writing at Northern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, and Clemson University. I have also lectured and presented at conferences on writing and literature at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, the University of London, and at Bestseller Publishing Institute seminars.
As an editor, my greatest goal is to help authors make their books appear professional and their writing highly polished for their readers while retaining the author's voice and tone. I have edited and/or proofread a wide variety of books including self-help, health and wellness, science fiction and fantasy, historical fiction, and religion.
I am the co-editor of "Authors Access: 30 Success Secrets for Authors and Publishers", and I have been the regular guest co-host for the Authors Access internet radio program www.authorsaccess.com.
I can provide references for my editing and proofreading work by request.
I love my work and the opportunity continually to expand my knowledge by reading my clients' books and manuscripts. I enjoy helping others' voices be heard.

Work Terms
|
I prefer to conduct business through email, but am not adverse to phone calls or instant messaging. My clients find me reliable and flexible to their schedules and needs.
I generally work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Eastern time. I prefer contact by email so I can check it without interrupting my concentration on the project at hand from phone calls, but I am always willing to schedule time to talk on the phone or communicate by other methods. I am also willing to work on a weekend if a project deadline must be completed provided the request is reasonable and I receive notification prior.
I always meet deadlines and will provide a quote for cost and time for completion prior to beginning any work.
