I graduated from Yale College in 1993 with a B.A. in English. I then spent the next eight years working at a variety of different jobs where I tried to create opportunities to write as often as possible. At my first job after college I created a newsletter that was sent to over twenty countries. As a Master's student in Human Nutrition at Tufts University I co-authored a paper that was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, as well as assisting in various NIH grant proposals.
Since 2001 I have been caring for my two small children full time. Now that my first child has started school I have spent the last year increasing the amount of time that I am able to devote to free lance writing by covering independent music, as subject about which I am very passionate. However, my strong academic background in both the arts and the sciences would enable me to cover a wide range of topics in my writing.
