-for my work as a journalist I received several awards from NEPA (New England Press Association), including a first place for column writing, and awards for spot news, economic reporting, and community service
-In the past 25 years I have written hundreds of weekly columns, including over 130 straight weekly columns for a local paper and blog
-For my own poetry I have received awards from Boston College (Bishop Connolly Award), Gold and Silver Medals from NPAC (Net Poetry Association Contest), and I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize
-I served one term as the Executive Editor of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, managing the editorial offices at Mass General in Boston.
-I served as a marketing consulant for an historic chocolatier on Cape Cod, writing copy for advertisements and promotions, helping design and provide content for a web site and email newsletter, and helping design packaging for their famous chocolate covered cranberry 'Bog Beans'.
