I write web content, reports, articles, and fiction. I can review published literature, develop hypotheses, design appropriate methodologies, then report on the results with a presentation or a journal article.

In college I had a double major in chemistry and behavioral sciences. Courses included technical writing and literature search techniques, and outside of class I won a grant from my school to pursue an experiment in social psychology. The results of this experiment were presented at the Texas Academy of Science.

As a graduate student I majored in communication disorders, with a research focus on deaf children. I worked with two professors to write grant proposals which were successfully submitted to NIH. On my own, I wrote research proposals for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, Society for Research in Child Language Development, and the International Symposium on Cochlear Implants in Children, all of which were accepted. I also received a grant from the Texas Speech-Language- Hearing Foundation.

After graduation I worked in schools and in telecommunications. In both settings I wrote reports and synthesized research data.
