Highlights

I bring 24 years of experience to the table. I've done a bit of everything starting with FORTRAN programming in college up to building sites in VB.NET today. In between I've managed datacenters for multi-million dollar startups where 24/7 uptime was a must.

I am the guy that brings a bit of everything to the table, but my primary focus is on MS-SQL Server databases and interacting with them.

What I'm focusing on is what I'm calling SQL "Sharp-shooting". Go into small companies that need an outsider to review their systems, give them advice and point them in the right direction, or if necessary drill down and solve a particular performance related issue, etc. Basically mostly shorter-term assignments, anywhere from 1-10 days.

I can also help with SQL Server installations and upgrades for your company or for your clients.

On NOC Consulting side, trying to help out new and upcoming ASP type companies know what to focus on, what alerts to monitor, etc. Basically take my 12+ years of experience at Internet based companies and condense it down so these companies trying to ride the wave of "Internet 2.0" can succeed.

I can also help with VB.NET programming as required.

Please note, while my "minimum rate" is specified, for interesting projects or first time employers I am will to discuss discount rates (as long as they do not violate guru's terms of service) to get my foot in the door.

I prefer contact through email and IM with phone calls and video calls as required.

My work schedule is very flexible, but ideally I prefer shifting it later in the day and working late into the night if required.

I am available most weekdays and some weekends. Particularly if you need database work done in "off-hours" I am open to that as it's what I've normally done in the past. It's not uncommon for me to do database work at 2:00 AM on a Saturday morning simply because that's the "best" time to do it from the client's point of view.
