From its roots in a single chapter of Indian expatriate entrepreneurs in California's Silicon Valley in 1992, TiE has grown to the world's largest entrepreneurship-backing nonprofit, with 53 chapters in 12 countries with a mission to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. TiECon is its flagship event, the largest professional conference for entrepreneurs.
TiECon Midwest was Michigan’s Largest Conference on entrepreneurship designed for the Innovative Entrepreneur. TiECon Midwest 2009 provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new businesses, discuss emerging technologies, share growth strategies and obtain insight from global business leaders, community leaders and worldwide experts.
The site was designed with improved user experience, easy navigation and clarity. All time sensitive details of the events and updates, downloadable resources, search mechanisms, blogs, alerts, and social media connections, high-visibility media page, Google search optimization and excellent tracking system were included. Facilities for online event registration and e-payment were incorporated. The event drew a big crowd and was attended by more than 1000 people.
